An air flowmeter is an instrument that converts the inhaled air flow into electrical signals. The advantage of air flowmeter is that the pressure loss is very small and the range of measurable flow is large. The ratio of maximum flow rate to minimum flow rate of air flowmeter is generally more than 20:1. It is applicable to a wide range of industrial pipe diameters, up to 3 m. The output signal and measured flow rate are linear and accurate. It can measure the flow rate of acid, alkali, salt solution, water, sewage, corrosive liquids, mud and ore slurry with conductivity greater than 1 ugs/cm. But air flowmeter can not measure the flow of gas, steam and pure water.
